To provide an equipment control system which can improve user convenience.
The equipment control system comprises: a plurality of human detection sensors 4, installed for each of a plurality of physically partitioned spaces 5, which outputs a human detection signal upon detecting the presence of a person in any one of the spaces 5; a plurality of apparatuses 6 installed in the spaces 5; a system controller 2 which has a storage unit 23 storing therein human sensor information which associates the plurality of human detection sensors 4 with the spaces 5 and equipment information which associates the plurality of apparatuses 6 with the spaces 5; and a remote controller 1 equipped with a sensor unit 14 which outputs an acceleration detection signal upon detecting acceleration, a display unit 15 which displays a list of the apparatuses 6, and a processing unit 12 which, when the sensor unit 14 outputs an acceleration detection signal and one of the human detection sensors 4 outputs a human detection signal, raises priority, which is to be shown on the display unit 15, for any of the apparatuses 6 installed in one of the spaces 5 where the human detection sensor 4 which outputted the human detection signal is installed.
