To provide an evaporated fuel treating device capable of providing a desired purge flow without requiring a tremendously large amount of applicable man-hours for preparing maps.
This evaporated fuel treating device comprises a canister for sucking an evaporated fuel produced in a fuel tank and a purge valve for opening/closing a pipe allowing the canister to communicate with an intake passage. The device comprises a pressure ratio calculation means for calculating the pressure ratio of the pressures at the front and rear of the purge valve according to the operating state of the engine (step S5) and a purge valve opening area calculation means for calculating a purge valve opening area for achieving a target purge rate according to the pressure ratio (step S7).
