Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of accurately manufacturing an excelsior even from a wood whose grain is reverse to blade edges.
SOLUTION: A plane has a right and a left slant part 3b, 3c inclined from the rear to an opening part 3a in the front center part of a plane stock. On each of the slant faces 3b, 3c, two fluted blades 4 are provided which have numerous uneven parts repeatedly formed in row on the blade edges. These blade edges are set to face each other obliquely downward at an equal distance from a cutting face, and are further set to protrude about 3cm from the opening part 3a.
