The eyelash curler has a first arm provided with a reception plate on its end and a second arm provided with a holding means on its end which are rotatably intersected with each other through a pivot. When a first gripping member and a second gripping member which are provided respectively on the other ends of the first and second arms are closed with respect to each other, the holding means is brought into contact with the reception surface of the reception plate. When the first gripping member and a second gripping member are open with respect to each other, the holding member is separated from the reception surface of the reception plate. In this case, at least the reception plate is formed of titanium (Ti) and an oxide film of titanium oxide (TiO2) is formed by oxidizing the surface of the reception plate.
