PURPOSE: To improve the secrecy of content of communication by providing a conversion means applying code conversion or its inversion to coded picture information according to a prescribed rule and a communication means communicating a code data converted by the said conversion means.
CONSTITUTION: At first an original is set to a read section 1-3 and a destination number is inputted from a ten-key 3-3 of an operation section 1-2. Then a key code setting key 3-8 is depressed and a key code K is inputted from the ten-key 3-3. When a start key 3-4 is depressed, a connection section 1-5 is used for dialing and the nonstandard function is used to set the environment of the mode applying the picture code conversion. Then the original of one page is read and coded. Then the key code is used to apply code conversion of the coded code and it is transmitted.
