PURPOSE: To facilitate the reservation of conversation on the facsimile equipment having a handset.

CONSTITUTION: When conversation is reserved during transmission of original information, a handset 23 is lifted up. Then it is detected that hook state detection means 24 is hooked off and the processing of conversation reservation is implemented. When the transmission of original information is finished while the handset is lifted up, a conversation reservation signal PRI-Q is sent to the opposite party and then an operation call rings at the opposite party. When the opposite party hooks up a handset, the conversation is attained. When the handset is restored after conversation is reserved, a hook state detection means 24 detects on-hook state. When the transmission of the original information is finished, a conversation reservation signal PRI-Q is sent and the operation call of this party rings by the reply of the opposite party. When the handset is lifted up, the conversation is attained.
