Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile communication system where a called party can realize a communication function by using SUB, SEP and PWD signals even when a caller cannot transmit the SUB, SEP and PWD signals.
SOLUTION: When a communication main control section 3 make a request to a modem control section 4 to detect a DTMF signal, the modem control section 4 sets detection of the DTMF signal to a modem 5 and gives the DTMF signal received by an NCU 6 and detected by the modem 5 to the communication main control section 3. The communication main control section 3 converts the DTMF signal from the modem control section 4 into the SUB, SEP and PWD signals and controls communication processing corresponding to the respective signals.
