Abstract:
To provide a method and device for keeping contact between a stick and the ground even if a load is applied to the stick, for example, when a user who operates the stick is about to fall.
A device using a universal joint for preventing a user from falling includes a stick 2, a universal joint 1, and a force sensor 3 for measuring a force that a user applies to the stick. In a method using the universal joint for preventing the user from falling, an angle between the stick and ground is adjusted depending on the force that the user applies to the stick, thereby the stick is kept contact with the ground, and the user can avoid falling.
