PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stone fall guard device that can minimize an accident due to a stone fall while securing a safe work space for an operator widely.SOLUTION: A stone fall guard device 1 that is installed in a man cage 12 provided in the tip of a movable arm 11 in a heavy machine 10 for tunnel work comprises a pair of left/right vertical guard parts 2 pivotally supported to be openable and closable from positions of left and right side surfaces of the man cage 12 to the position of being nearly parallel with the front surface of the man cage 12, with front left and right ends of the man cage 12 each as a base end, and a horizontal guard part 4 formed to be nearly horizontal backward from the bottom edge of each of the vertical guard parts 2 when the vertical guard parts 2 are opened to the position of being nearly parallel with the front surface of the man cage 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
