Abstract:
To provide a technique which smoothly performs the handoff of a mobile station with an efficient use of frequency in a radio communication system of an FDMA method.SOLUTION: A radio communication system 1 is an FDMA digital radio system which includes a plurality of base stations 20, and a mobile station 30 communicating with the base stations 20. Each base station 20 uses a common control channel Cch to perform communication at each predetermined timing. The mobile station 30 stores a transmission frame number in a communication channel (super-frame), and based on a transmission frame number transmitted from a base station 20, determines the transmission timing of another base station 20 and measures the reception electric field of a signal transmitted from the other base station 20, so that the mobile station can perform automatic hand-off if the reception electric field level of a captured base station is deteriorated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
