This feeding mechanism includes: a shaft body formed from a plurality of spirally wound strands; and a coil body formed from a single coil strand spirally wound around an outer peripheral surface of the shaft body. The winding direction of the plurality of strands and the winding direction of the single coil strand are the same direction. The shaft body includes a plurality of spiral valley parts formed between the strands, and the coil body includes a plurality of peak parts formed on the coil strand. At least one valley part and at least one peak part are engaged with each other, and the coil body is formed to be feed-driven between end parts of the shaft body by rotating the shaft body.
