Title:
FIBROUS MATERIAL OBTAINED FROM MUSHROOM AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07279088
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a colored sheet with sophisticated feel owing to its light- transmitting effect, by mixing a dyed product of mushroom fibers obtained by removing impurities from disintegrated mushroom with other fibers.

CONSTITUTION: Inedible portions of mushroom such as the stalk of Cortinellus shiitake are dipped in water and then finely disintegrated by mechanical shear force using a disk refiner. The resultant mushroom fibers are treated with at least one kind selected from enzymes, alkalis and acids to remove impurities such as water-soluble proteins and carbohydrates such as glucan and/or xylan from the fibers to obtain mushroom fibers consisting mainly of chitin and chitosan. The mushroom fibers are then dyed by conventional method with at least one kind of dye selected from acid dyes, acid mordant dyes, direct dyes, basic dyes, metal-contg. acid dyes, reactive dyes and vegetable dyes. Subsequently, a mixed slurry containing the dyed mushroom fibers and at least one kind of fibers selected from natural fibers such as silk, natural pulp such as paper mulberry, organic fibers such as rayon or acrylic fibers, inorganic fibers and metallic fibers, is subjected to wet papermaking process, thus obtaining the objective colored sheet-like product.
