Title:
FIRE EXTINGUISHER EMPLOYING VIBRATION SPRING TYPE HOSE BENDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5733728
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To positively perform gas interruption at the time of earthquake by a simple construction by supporting the intermediate part of a gas hose in a hanging- up state at a predetermined interval and bending the hose by the above hanging-up supporting part through an operating rod by the actuation of a dead-weight at the time of earthquake.

CONSTITUTION: The intermediate part of the gas hose which supplies gas to a apparatus using gas, is provided with a pair of hose inserting parts 3 installed at a predetermined interval. The operating rod 5 supported by a pin 2 of a frame body 1 at its one end, is provided in the center of the inserting parts 3 and 3 in a swingable manner, and another end side of the operating rod 5 is ordinarily lifted in resistance against a spring 6 and a dead-weight 8, and hooked to a metal support fitting 7 provided on a stay 9 provided upright on the frame body 1 and supported. In this state, gas is supplied to the apparatus using gas through the gas hose. Now, when an earthquake occurs, the dead-weight heavily vibrates to slip off the operating rod 5 from the metal support fitting 7. Then, the operating rod rapidly descends to bend the hose 4 between the inserting parts 3 and 3 and interrupt the stream of gas.
