To obtain a fixed scaffold for the inspection of the back surface of a cross deck between hatches of a bulk carrier.
On the back surface of the cross deck between the hatches of the bulk carrier, the fixed scaffold which can be transferred from a fixed ladder of a lateral partition wall and fixes a handrail at the end of an anti-lateral partition wall side is provided on the top of the lateral partition wall. Brackets are provided on both sides of the fixed scaffold at the upper part of the lateral partition wall at appropriate intervals. An scaffold plate which is fixed to the end of the anti-lateral partition wall side of each bracket with the handrail, and supported abutting to the bracket when it is opened and becomes the same height as the fixed scaffold, and vertically held along the lateral partition wall when it is folded, is mounted to the lateral partition wall so as to be turnable.
