Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cuneus for constraining a step board, which is easy to install and has an excellent appearance after installation.SOLUTION: A cuneus 1 for constraining a step board is pressed into a gap 16 between a lower surface 10a of the step board 10 inserted into a step board fixing groove 13 of which thickness gradually decreases from a driving end 17 toward a tip 18 and which is engraved on an inner side surface 11a of a string 11 constituting stairs A and a bottom surface 13a of the step board fixing groove 13. An inclined surface 7 for screw driving directed from the driving end 17 to the tip 18 is formed on an exposed side surface 8 exposed inside the stairs A on the opposite side of the string 11 among both side surfaces 5 and 8 extending from a lower surface 6 of the cuneus 1 contacting the bottom surface 13a of the step board fixing groove 13 to an upper surface 4 of the cuneus 1 contacting the lower surface 10a of the step board 10 when the cuneus is pressed into the gap 16. The inclined surface 7 is provided at a position where a normal line standing on the inclined surface 7 passes through the upper surface 4 of the cuneus 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
