Title:
FLAME RETARDANT COMPOSITE NONWOVEN FABRIC AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09119054
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To produce a flame retardant composite nonwoven fabric having flame retardant performances and further excellent mechanical characteristics and flexibility in combination.

This flame retardant composite nonwoven fabric is obtained by melt spinning a polyester containing phosphorus atoms, forming a continuous filament nonwoven web, carrying out the partial hot pressure welding of the resultant continuous filament nonwoven web at a temperature below (Tm-30)°C when the melting point of the polyester component is (Tm)°C, providing a continuous filament nonwoven sheet, laminating staple fiber nonwoven web layers prepared by opening staple fibers having the flame retardance imparted thereto to both the surfaces of the continuous filament nonwoven sheet, making pressurized liquid streams act on the surfaces of the staple fiber nonwoven web layers, mutually interlacing the constituent filaments of the continuous filament nonwoven sheet with the constituent staple fibers of the staple fiber nonwoven web layers, integrating the filaments with the staple fibers, mutually interlacing the constituent staple fibers of the staple fiber nonwoven web layers and integrating the staple fibers.
