Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a simple and inexpensive flange ring for joining two thin- walled metal pipes and its fixing method.
CONSTITUTION: An integrated flange ring 10, attachable to a thin-walled pipe 18 for abutting a joint between two pipe portions 18, 18' has an integrated plate spring cross section so that a ring leg 12 can be passed through the inside or outside of the end 20 of the metal pipe. The strength and sealing property can be further increased by forcible contact and/or addition measures, including the formation of the ring leg 12 into a conical shape and usage of fixing means.
