Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a flat object holding device ensuring driving without damaging opened mail or low rigidity mail.
CONSTITUTION: This flat object holding device 20 has a perforated belt 15 driven by a driving means, suction grip means arranged inside the belt 15, and a holding side 2. The belt 15 in action passes in front of the holding side 2 along a specified conveying direction D and receives a first object from a stack of flat objects. A double pick separator 24 is disposed substantially facing an exit edge of the holding side 2. The suction grip means include at least two substantially adjacent suction heads 21, 22 aligned in the conveying direction, and one suction head 22 at least partly overlaps the double pick separator 24.
