PURPOSE: To obtain nonwoven fabric of continuous fiber having excellent flexibility comprising crimped parallel conjugate fiber composed of specific propylene ethylene random copolymer and low density polyethylene as first component and crystalline polypropylene as second component.
CONSTITUTION: (A) First component is obtained by mixing of (i) 3-40wt.% propylene ethylene random copolymer having 110-150°C melting point measured by DSC main peak and ≤10g/10min MFR [ASTM D-1238(L)] with (ii) 97-60wt.% polyethylene having ≥15g/10min MFR [ASTM D-1238(E)] and ≤0.935g/cm3 density. (B) Second component contains crystalline polypropylene having ≥10g/10min MFR [ASTM D-1238(L)] as principal ingredient. Then, the components (A) and (B) are subjected to conjugate spinning to afford the aimed nonwoven fabric making possible to produce high-speed melt-drawing spinning comprising crimped parallel conjugate continuous fiber.
