To provide a floating body type seismic isolation structure capable of surely improving seismic isolation performance of a structure by sufficiently exerting capacity of a resistant body for damping kinetic energy of fluid.
The floating body type seismic isolation structure B includes a seismic isolation pit 1 structured by excavating the ground G, the fluid 2 stored in the seismic isolation pit 1, a seismic isolation device 3 for connecting the structure T inserted in the fluid 2 and the ground G in a manner not to synchronize their horizontal behaviors and a resistance object 4 for damping kinetic energy of the fluid 2 generated corresponding to horizontal behavior of the structure T while flowing the fluid 2. A flow control body 5 for reducing opening area of a clearance H3 defined by the resistance object 4 and the seismic isolation pit 1 or the structure T and increasing flow speed of the fluid 2 flowing in the resistance object 4 is provided in the floating body type seismic isolation structure B.
