Abstract:

PURPOSE: A fluff removing machine, containing a piece of artificial turf, having many inserted needles therein, and wound around a roll, and usefull for removing fluffs from cocoons.

CONSTITUTION: A fluff removing roll 1 having a piece of artificial turf, having many needles inserted therein, and wound around the roll 1 is supported by a machine frame 2 rotatably. Cocoons 4 are introduced into a space between the fluff removing roll 1 and a cocoon pressing piece 3, dropped while being rotated, and stopped from rotating on arrival at a stopper 6. The fluffs of the cocoons 4 are scraped off by the many needle inserted in the artificial turf around the roll 1. Cocoons free from all the fluffs scraped off by the neeldes are dropped downward by their own weight. The fluffs scraped off by the fluff removing roll 1 are easily removed by fluff scraping comb blades 7 without entering the artificial turf deep by the needles inserted in the artificial turf.
