To prevent breaking of links even if a force of excessively bringing front leg parts and rear leg parts in their folded state closer to each other is applied in a folding chair having the links.
This folding chair is provided with a seat part 13, front leg parts 11 and link bars 18 connected to the front leg parts 11. The lower face of the seat part 13 has link attachment seats 45. The root side of each link 24 is rotatably connected to the link attachment seat 45 via a link shaft 46. The tip end side of the link 24 is formed with a link bar locking part 24C and a link bar retainer part 24D. The tip end side of the link bar locking part 24C is formed into a notched shape and a link bar locking hole 24C1 in which the link bar 18 is rotatably fitted is formed therein. The link bar retainer part 24D retains the link bar 18 when the link bar 18 is detached from the link bar locking hole 24C1 to the tip end side.
