Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a force sensation provision device capable of providing a realistic force sensation of an object without using a strain gauge and associated conversion information.SOLUTION: A force sensation provision device includes a manipulation unit 10 and a follower unit 20. The manipulating unit includes a manipulating part 12, a rotational resistance generator 50 that uses a magnetic viscous fluid, and a rotation amount detector 14 for detecting an amount of rotation of a second grip belonging to the manipulation part. The follower unit includes a motor 24 configured to rotate an output shaft in accordance with the amount of rotation of the second grip 12b, a magnetic viscous fluid coupling 70, and arms 22A, 22B. The force sensation provision device detects rotational speeds of an input rotor 72 and output rotor 73 of the magnetic viscous fluid coupling 70, controls an amount of current supplied to the magnetic viscous fluid coupling 70 to reduce rotational speed difference to close to zero, and supplies the same amount of current to the rotational resistance generator 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
