Title:
FORMING METHOD FOR MIRAGE-LIKE PHENOMENON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02221997
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To allow a mirage of an object visible by viewing through an interface a structure of plural phases in which density of the lower phase brought into contact with each other is larger than density of the upper phase and there is a specific density ratio, and an interface of the upper and the lower phases is a smooth surface or a curved surface, and a real object.

CONSTITUTION: In a water tank of transparent glass, a glass tube is installed vertically, and also, so that the lower end of the tube becomes some height from the bottom face, a position of the glass tube is easily movable, and the upper end part of the tube is connected to an aspirator through a trap cooled by acetaone/dry ice by a gum tube. Subsequently, trichlorofluoromethane is put in as gas of the lower phase, and heated by a spot light for a photograph from the upper part. Thereafter, it is sucked by the aspirator, and an atmosphere which can form a mirage phenomenon in which a density ratio A of the lower phase trichrolofluoromethane and the upper phase air is 1<A<50 and which has a smooth interface or a curved surface is generated. As for height of eyes, for instance, 10cm from the bottom face of the water tank is a reference and there is no variation by an observation from the lower part by 20cm, and from the lower part by about 1.5cm, a partially extended image can be viewed, and when the position of eyes are further heightened, a distinct mirage phenomenon can be viewed.
