PURPOSE: To improve waterproofness and strong binding strength by mounting the end part of a light cable coated with PVC to a holder for connection and forming the holder in one body with the PVC coating at specific temp. by means of nonmigratory PVC.

CONSTITUTION: The end part of a light cable produced by coating optical fibers 4 made of acrylics with a PVC tube 1 is mounted to a resin molding machine which forms a holder 9. The nonmigratory PVC which is heated to melt to 65W 80°C is injected into the holder 9 and the holder 9 is molded in one body with the tube 1. On the other hnd, the softening point of PVC is 60°C, and is bonded by contact with the nonmigratory PVC heated to ≥65°C, whereby the thorough and firm bonding is effected. Since the heat resisting temp. of the acrylic fibers 4 is 80°C, the connector for the light cables having waterproofness and strong binding is obtained.
