Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods for predictively compensating for frequency-based shifts of the position of a web of print media in a continuous-form printer.SOLUTION: The system comprises a sensor 340 and a controller 330. The sensor 340 is able to detect lateral shifts of a web 120 of print media traveling through the continuous-form printer. The controller 330 is able to identify a frequency of the lateral shifts of the web 120, and to steer the orientation of the web 120 on the basis of the frequency.
