Abstract:
To provide a friction-reducing additive which hardly interacts with other additives, exerts an excellent friction-reducing effect, has a sufficient ability to impart heat stability and is advantageous in terms of cost, and a lubricant composition containing the same.
The friction-reducing additive comprises a non-hydrogenated unsaturated hydrocarbon compound present in a product of hydrogenation treatment of an olefin oligomer as an active ingredient. The lubricant composition contains a base oil and the friction-reducing additive and has a bromine number of 0.1-10 gBr2/100 g.
