To make filtering feasible without interrupting heating cooking.

A filtering device 20 of a fryer includes a tank 21 which is open to the atmospheric air and set at the same height as an oil tank 3 and which includes a filter paper inside; a circulation path 22 which is formed between the oil tank 3 and the tank 21 and in which the oil in the oil tank 3 can circulate through the filter paper in the tank 21; and a pump 23 which circulates oil in the circulation path 22.
