To provide a fuel injection device having an injection part such as an injection hole for injecting fuel to an internal combustion engine, capable of suppressing deposit adherence to the injection part due to influence of flames or combustion gas during combustion.
The fuel injection device is equipped with a valve part B for allowing fuel flow or shutting it off, and the injection hole 21 provided on the tip end side of the valve part B and is opened/closed by an operation of shutting off and allowing fuel flow of the valve part B. The device injects fuel from the injection hole 21 to the engine. The device is equipped with a discharge electrode 82 provided on the tip end side of the valve part B, and a deposit removing mechanism 80 for generating a non-thermal equilibrium discharge plasma between the discharge electrode 82 and the periphery of the injection hole 21.
