Title:
FULLY AUTOMATIC WASHING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04129597
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent freezing at a low cost by feeding the water quantity submerging a heating means in a water tub when the temperature data from a sensor is lower than the freezing reference temperature, and driving the heating means.

CONSTITUTION: Whether the ambient temperature of a washing machine detected by a temperature sensor 15 is the freezing temperature or not is compared and monitored, if it reaches the freezing temperature, a water feed valve 19 is opened to feed water to the freezing preventing water level that a heating device 28 is submerged in water. The water feed valve 19 is closed after this water level is attained, the water fed into an outer tub 24 is heated by the heating device 28 to the preset temperature for freezing preventing control. The protective function preventing the freezing of the water feed valve 19 can be automatically performed by utilizing a temperature detection section and a water feed controller for obtaining the basic performance of the washing machine, thus no special specification for the cold area is required to be planned. The water used to prevent freezing can be utilized for the washing water during the next washing process.
