Abstract:
To provide a gas booster placed on a gas supply passage to boost low-pressure gas efficiently and stably.
The gas booster has pistons 14, 15 placed at both ends of a shaft 11, cylinders 12, 13 where the pistons reciprocate, and an inlet port 16 and a discharge port 17 provided for each of the cylinders. The discharge port enables the gas having a pressure higher than the inflow pressure allowed by the inlet port to be discharged from the cylinder, the shaft moves in the axial direction by the operation of a feed screw mechanism, and the pistons thereby interlockingly move away from each other.
