Abstract:

PURPOSE: To keep the density of sealed gas constant and stably detect the leakage of fuel gas with one detector by constituting a detecting device with a balancing valve communicated to cases enveloping fuel cell devices, air inflow lines feeding the gas to the balancing valve, and the detector communicated to the balancing valve.

CONSTITUTION: Since a negative pressure is given to a detecting device by a suction device 11, cases 2 are filled with sealed gas when it is fed through sealed gas inlets 3. If fuel gas is leaked, it is mixed into the sealed gas, and the sealed gas (mixed with the fuel gas) flows into flow meters 6 through gas collecting ports 4 via the first pipes 5, and the flow is measured. The flow of the sealed gas is adjusted by the first valves 7. The sealed gas flowing from individual fuel cell devices flows into a balancing valve 9 via the second pipes 8 and is adjusted so as to keep the density of the sealed gas constant, then it flows into a gas detector via the third pipe 14, and the leaked fuel gas is detected, if any.
