Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional multicast communication system that cannot conduct dynamic path switching by an IGMP proxy because the use of not a multicast routing protocol but the IGMP proxy is required for large-scale multicast distribution.
SOLUTION: An RGB(receiver side gateway) monitors a reception state of a satellite channel in order to solve the task above. While the satellite channel is normal, transmission/reception of multicast packets with the Internet is inhibited, and when the satellite channel is not normal, the transmission/ reception of multicast packets with the Internet is permitted.
