Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a generator which generates wide-band microwave signals having a narrowed reference microwave band.
CONSTITUTION: A transmitting drive(TD) signal and a local oscillator (LO) signal for receiver are generated from one programmable reference generator 52 and two frequency synthesized signals F1 and F2 having frequencies which are separated from each other by a TD offset. The frequency synthesized signals are added to or subtracted from the signal of the reference generator 52 at mixers 54 and 56 and a signal which is selected as the TD signal or LO signal is generated.
