Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate for p-Si TFT flat pane display consisting of a glass high in low viscosity property temperature and capable of being manufactured while avoiding generation of problems of an erosion of a dissolution tank in dissolution by direct electric heating.SOLUTION: There is provided a glass substrate containing, SiO:52 to 78 mass%, AlO:3 to 25 mass%, BO:3 to 15 mass%, RO, where RO is the total amount of MgO, CaO, SrO and BaO:3 to 20 mass%, RO, where RO is the total amount of LiO, NaO and KO:0.01 to 0.8 mass%, SbO:0 to 0.3 mass%, substantially no AsOand having mass ratio CaO/RO of 0.65 or more, mass ratio (SiO+AlO)/BOin a range of 7 to 30 and mass ratio (SiO+AlO)/RO of 5 or more.
