Abstract:

PURPOSE: To automatically sort various kinds of golf balls without requiring hands.
CONSTITUTION: Two or more mutually coincident bar cords are applied to the surface of a golf ball. An inspecting light is emitted to the rotating golf ball while scanning and the reflected light from the surface of the golf ball is received by a photoelectric element. The electric signal from the photoelectric element is transmitted to a signal processing device 23 and collated with the stored information in the signal processing device 23, and a drive signal is transmitted to a guide plate 24A, 24B or 24C. The golf ball rolling on a traveling passage 22 is fallen into a golf ball basin 25A, 25B, 25C or 25D. To certainly detect the bar cord, each bar cord is provided so that the lines connecting the respective bar cords to the center of the golf ball mutually form an angle of 60° or more and less than 120°. In stead of the bar cord, a caller cord can be adapted.
