Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinder capable of confirming an appropriate implementation of truing.SOLUTION: A grinder 1 comprises: a spindle stock 20 for rotatably supporting a work-piece W; a grinding wheel 50 for grinding the work-piece W; a truer 60 for truing the grinding wheel 50; a sensor 100 for detecting a surface roughness of an object to be ground, which is either the work-piece W or an object other than the work-piece W ground with the grinding wheel 50; and a control unit 110 for performing controls associated with truing to the grinding wheel 50. The control unit 110 comprises: a determination part 132 for determining whether or not truing to the grinding wheel 50 has been appropriately implemented or not, on the basis of a difference ΔDb between a surface roughness of the object to be measured which has been ground just before implementation of the truing to the grinding wheel 50 and a surface roughness of the object to be measured which has been ground just after implementation of the truing to the grinding wheel 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4B
