To obtain the subject ground tea containing vitamins, tannin and rutin and giving a health drink suitable e.g. for the prevention of hypertension, arteriosclerosis, abnormally increased blood pressure, etc. by adding dried and powdered buckwheat leaf to ground tea.

The objective ground tea containing buckwheat leaf can be produced by removing petiole and leaf vein from buckwheat leaf and adding and mixing the processed buckwheat leaf to ground tea preferably in an amount of 1-50%. The product is producible at a low cost, rich in rutin and excellent as a health food or drink.
