Abstract:
To provide a method implemented by a computer, and a device and a computer program product implementing the method, that improve efficiency in the Variational Quantum Eigensolver, which is executed by a computer.SOLUTION: A method implemented by a computer comprises the steps of: retrieving multiple Pauli strings contained in a quantum Hamiltonian; grouping at least a portion of multiple Pauli strings based at least in part on the determination of whether an amount of multiple Pauli strings is an observable amount that can be measured together by entangled measurements in at least a part of operators; grouping at least a portion of multiple Pauli strings; and designing the quantum circuit based on the results obtained from the grouping step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
