To achieve display of higher resolution than a screen resolution of an attached display of a portable information communication device on large external display means of a peripheral device connected to the portable information communication device, only by addition of interface means to the peripheral device and a little functional addition to display data generation means originally provided for displaying images on the attached display.

A portable information communication device is provided with data processing means for outputting digital display signals to display control means for controlling pixels of the attached display panel. In the portable information communication device, interface means is provided for transmitting external display signals to a peripheral device including external display means based on the digital display signal received from the data processing means. The function of transmitting a high resolution external display signal from the interface means is achieved with cooperation of the data processing means and the interface means.
