PURPOSE: To provide a hand iron for business use capable of performing ironing without burdening a wrist over the long period of time by providing a hanging device for lifting the iron provided with a handle mounted on an iron base and moving the iron on the iron base.

CONSTITUTION: The hook-like member 4 of a hanging member 9 is inserted to the attachment part 5 of this iron 1 and fixed by a pin 6. Then, when the handle 2 of the iron 1 is held by a hand and lifted, the hanging member 9 and a lower part member 8 are respectively raised and the iron 1 is lightly lifted. At the time, a spring member 14A is extended and an upper part member 11 is pressurized. On the other hand, when the iron 1 is descended, the upper member 11, a middle member 12, the spring member 14A, the lower part member 8 and the hanging member 9 are respectively returned to an original state. Also, the hanging member 9 is attached to the lower end part of the lower part member 8 by a bolt 15 and a ring 16 and rotated with the bolt 15 as a center. Further, the upper part member 11 is rotated with a rotary shaft 13 as the center. Thus, the iron 1 is freely moved on the iron base 7.
