To provide a handle mechanism for a door, which is installed in a place having a large difference in air pressure between the inside and the outside of a room such as a vestibule door of a multistory apartment house or an airtight apartment and capable of forcedly separately opening the door with small force by simple operation without forming an air hole or the like in a wall body or the like.
The respective handles 2, 3 engaged with both ends of a latch operating shaft 4 for operating a door latch 5 are supported to be freely turned in the direction of opening and closing a door 1, a regulating member 9 for enabling turning only when the door latch 5 is sunk in, a working piece 10 abutting on the door frame 11 side to apply force for separating the door 1 from the door frame 11 is provided, whereby when the door 1 is forcedly opened several mm to ten-odd mm by the working piece 10, the difference in air pressure between the inside and the outside of the room can be reduced so as to facilitate opening of the door 1.
