To provide a handrail for a bathtub which is reduced in weight while securing strength of a body tool equipped with a handrail and in which an operation for adjusting an interval between the body tool and a pressure-receiving tool is performed smoothly.
The handrail for a bathtub includes: a body tool 5 to which a handrail 4 is fitted; a pressure-receiving tool 7 which is formed by setting a pressure-receiving plate 6 arranged opposite to one side face of a sidewall 1 of a bathtub; and a pressure plate 9 which moves in a direction toward and away from the other side face of the sidewall 1 of the bathtub by the operation of an operating handle 8. The pressure-receiving tool 7 has a vertical member 36 to which the pressure-receiving plate 6 is fitted, and a slide bar 12 horizontally extending out from the upper end of the vertical member 36. A part to which the slide bar 12 is slid in a direction parallel to the moving direction of the pressure plate 9 is provided on the top surface of an upper piece 2 of the body tool 5.
