To provide a head cleaning device which has proper workabilities and which is capable of efficiently arranging components.
The head cleaning device is characterized by setting a functional liquid drop discharge head 2 so that it is freely removable and being provided with a cleaning device body 4 to wash the functional liquid drop discharge head 2 by supplying a washing liquid to an internal passage 3 of the installed functional liquid discharge head 2, a washing liquid tank 5 to supply the washing liquid to the cleaning device body 4, a tank 6 and the like containing a waste tank 6 to recover the washing liquid after the washing, electrical equipment 8 to control the cleaning device body and a two-stage of cabinet 11 which is equipped with the electrical equipment 8 in a forward direction on the ceiling plate 12, stores the cleaning device body 4 in a forward direction on the upper stage and stores the tank and the like on the lower stage. In this cabinet 11, the electrical equipment 8 is arranged to the position of adult's eyes, the cleaning device body 4 to the position of adult arms and the tanks and the like to the position of adult legs respectively.
