Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a gaze direction of a user wearing a head-mounted display.SOLUTION: A head-mounted display is configured to be worn on the head of a user for use, and has a convex lens disposed at a position that faces a cornea of the user when worn. A plurality of infrared light sources are disposed around the convex lens to project infrared light towards the user's cornea. A camera captures images that include the user's cornea as an object. A housing accommodates the convex lens, the infrared light sources, and the camera. When an area around the convex lens is divided into four equal regions of a first region on the side of a tail of a user's eye, a second region on the side of an inner corner of the eye, a third region on a parietal side, and a fourth region on a jaw side, the plurality of infrared light sources are disposed in the first region or the second region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
