To obtain a composition, which is highly resistant to degradation against an engine oil and a coolant, by comprising specific types of organosiloxane polymer base and metal salt additive, and a curing component in specified amounts, respectively.
This composition comprises 100 parts by weight of an organosiloxane polymer base, which contains an organosiloxane polymer having two or more alkenyl groups bonded to the Si atoms in the molecule and 1 to 6.5 wt.% of a reinforcing silica filler; a curing component in an amount sufficient to cure the composition when heated; and an effective amount of at least one metal salt additive selected from alkali metal citrates, oxalates, phthalates, tartrates and tetraborates, basic alkali metal phosphates, dibasic metal phosphates and acetates wherein the metal is Na, K, Ca or Mg, and metal sulfates and carbonates wherein the metal is Na, K, Ca, Mg, Al or Zn.
