Abstract:
PURPOSE: To remove and collect oversaturated seed and mist-like seed by disposing a first rod-like or plate-like non-cooling body and a second cooling body having surface profile promoting collision of working fluid on the rare gas flow-out side of a heat-exchanger body.
CONSTITUTION: A rare gas 1 fed from the entrance side is cooled by means of cooling pipes 22a, 22b and the majority of seed contained in the rare gas 1 is condensed on the surface of 'the cooling pipes 22a, 22b and flows down gravitationally. The seed not adhering to the surface of the cooling pipes 22a, 22b is oversaturated and when the rare gas 1 reaches a rare gas conduction part close to the exit side of rare gas, condensation is accelerated on the surface of a non-cooling body 30 being cooled down to the temperature of gas flow until a saturated state is brought about. A part of mist-like seed nucleated in gas flow untouching the cooling pipe adheres preferentially to a second non- cooling body 31 having surface profile promoting collision of working fluid. The seed flows from the cooling pipes 22a, 22b and the first and second non- cooling bodies 30, 31 down to a lower pipe plate 25 thence flows into a see storage section 28.
