Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent generation of temperature layer upon scramming and improve the accuracy of flow amount distribution by a method wherein the cylinder of heat exchanger is provided with an inner nozzle for deflecting external fluid, introduced into the cylinder from an inlet nozzle provided on the cylinder so as to be directed inwardly in the radial direction, to one side in the circumferential direction of the cylinder.

CONSTITUTION: An inlet nozzle 5 for the inflow of external fluid penetrates through a suction cylinder 6 and the guide vane type inner nozzle 14, in which the inside section of the suction cylinder 6 is projected to one side in the peripheral direction of the cylinder, is formed while the size of upper windows 7' are changed sequentially so as to distribute uniformly the external fluid entering through the inner nozzle 14. Upon scramming, the flow amount of fluid blown off through the inner nozzle 14 is small, however, slow whirling flow is generated in the whole of the suction cylinder 6 by the flow of the blow-off fluid and counterclockwise whirling flow is generated in the upper part of the level B-B, even though the whirling speed is low. Accordingly, shearing mixing is generated between the high-temperature liquid of an upper layer and the low-temperature liquid of a lower layer and heat transfer from the upper part to the lower part is readily effected, therefore, it becomes favorable in view of the thermal stress of the cylinder. On the other hand, liquid is sucked into the windows 7' at downstream side sequentially upon rated operation and the flow is stabilized, therefore, the flow amount distribution substantially same as the calculation of designing may be obtained.
