Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulation material having incombustibility and adiabaticity.SOLUTION: There is provided a heat insulation material containing: isocyanate; an active hydrogen-containing compound; water; a reaction catalyst; and an alumina cement hydrate with the average particle diameter of 10 to 100 μm, and having a density of 350 kg/m, and the alumina cement hydrate being a hydrate obtained by mixing: alumina cement; a silica source; and water. There is also provided a method for producing the heat insulation material obtained by incorporating an alumina cement hydrate with the average particle diameter of 10 to 100 μm into a composition obtained by mixing: isocyanate; an active hydrogen-containing compound:; water; and a reaction catalyst. A foam control agent, aluminum hydroxide or heat expansible graphite may be incorporated therein.SELECTED DRAWING: None
