Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment method which can suppress overshoot of a part having a small thermal capacity in a member to be treated, allows a user to surely know that a part having a large thermal capacity reaches a target heat treatment temperature, and can shorten a cycle time for heat treatment.SOLUTION: A heat treatment method includes: a carrying-in step of arranging a member to be treated 40, a first dummy member 26a, and a second dummy member 26b in a heating furnace 10 provided with an induction heating coil 14 enclosing the periphery of a graphite tube (GC) 12 and cooling means cooling the GC 12; a temperature raising step of raising the temperature of the GC 12 to a peak temperature set equal to or higher than a target heat treatment temperature; and a setting step of, after the temperature of the GC 12 reaches the peak temperature, lowering the temperature of the GC 12 so that the temperature of the first dummy member 26a does not exceed the target heat treatment temperature, and setting the temperatures of both the first dummy member 26a and the second dummy member 26b to the target heat treatment temperature.
